The likelihood of professionals encountering substance use and suicidal ideation in their practice is high for populations suffering from mental illness. Assessment tools, clinical steps taken, and documentation of efforts as a helping professional are vital to the well-being of both client and clinician during times of high stress.

This webinar will identify and discuss risk factors when assessing for suicide as well as safety planning needs that could increase safety in response to emotional escalation, suicidal ideation, and substance abuse.

This webinar will introduce participants to the Community Assessment and Coordination of Safety (CACS) web application including risk assessment, resources, and safety plan template.
