Jim is a native of Buffalo, NY who has served the recovery community in a professional capacity for almost 20 years. Jim has constantly sought to open the path to treatment for families and individuals. His experience in addiction treatment has touched all phases of the continuum of care, from establishing the first LGBT recovery residence in Minneapolis to leading families through the process of intervention as Chief Operating Officer of Addiction Intervention Resources, to multiple leadership roles at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
As Chief Executive Officer at the Harmony Foundation, Colorado’s oldest residential treatment program, Jim has focused on increasing Harmony’s capacity to meet the unique needs of people who struggle with substance use disorder. His greatest honor is helping people find new ways to manage life.
Work at Harmony brought Jim and his family to Colorado, where they have set down roots in Allenspark. His passion for community engagement led him to a position on the Estes Park Restorative Justice board, supporting alternate opportunities for people to make amends to their community. Jim and his husband Peter are pleased to be a part of the Estes Valley and excited to be Coloradans.
Ross is a graduate of Pipestone Area Vo-Tech with a degree in Construction Management and holds an undergraduate degree from University of Phoenix in Business. Ross spent twenty-eight years working for Schwann Food Company as District General Manager. He is currently Director of Facilities for Harmony Foundation. He provides operational oversight of Housekeeping, Dietary, and Maintenance.

Laurie received a Master’s in Management from Regis University and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Denver. She has spent 20 years in the field of Human Resources serving in a variety of leadership positions. She brings best practices from the transportation, financial services, and consulting industries.
Laurie is passionate about cultivating a workplace where employees can do their best every day.
Dr. Michael Rountree is Board Certified in Family and Addiction Medicine. He has been a practicing provider for 25 years, offering direct client care services in a variety of settings including Community Health Centers, Rural and Tribal Health communities and the US military. He served as an active duty Army Medical Officer in Iraq and most recently was the Medical Director for the Veteran’s Administration Community Clinic in Loveland, CO. Dr. Rountree is a graduate of the St. George University, School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies, completed his residency at United Hospital Center, Family Medicine in Clarksburg, WV and a fellowship at University of Wisconsin/Veteran Administration in Addiction Medicine.
He lives in Estes Park with his wife, Patricia and daughter, Emma Jo.
MarianneDungan has a Diploma Degree from the St. Francis College of Nursing, a B.S.N. degree from the Methodist College of Nursing and a M.S.N. degree from Grand Canyon University. Practicing as an RN for more than 30 years, Marianne has worked in almost every aspect of healthcare, however, her true passion is working with people for sustained recovery from the diseases of drug and alcohol addiction & behavioral health diagnosis.
Marianne began her career in healthcare at the age of 18 as a certified nursing assistant in a medical surgical unit and after graduation working as an RN in neurological intensive care. Marianne then practiced as staff nurse, charge nurse, preceptor and advanced to clinical innovation and professional education positions within behavioral health services, and various administration positions at UnityPoint Health System based in Peoria, Illinois.
She has served multiple terms and the president of the Central Illinois Psychiatric Nurses’ Association. She is a published author and has given presentations locally and nationally to inform and decrease the stigma surrounding behavioral health, wellness, and through psychiatric nursing modalities. Her professional experience includes acute care, emergency care, out-patient care, liaison consultation in the community as well as the general hospital, professional mental health counseling and interdisciplinary professional education.
Marianne most recently was the Director of Salud Family Health Center in Estes Park Colorado. She and her family moved to a family home in Estes Park in 2018.
Marty Rein, Ph.D.
Director of Clinical Services
Dr. Marty J. Rein is a Fort Collins native. He is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Master’s Degree in Education and Human Resource Studies with a concentration in Community Counseling and Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Family Therapy and Assessment Development.
Dr. Rein has worked in private practice, residential treatment, and intensive outpatient programs throughout his career. He has been a professional bassist for most of his life and has taught music in both public and private schools. He is a community liaison for MusiCares®, and since 2010 has been a volunteer for their Safe Harbor Rooms at many music industry events. Dr. Rein’s has a passion in working with others, whether it be with a client, family member, group, or a counselor in training.

Karen Cramer, MS, LPCC, LCDC, NCC
DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC OUTREACH AND CASE MANAGEMENT
Karen is a graduate from Dallas Baptist University with a degree in Psychology and Masters from Southern Methodist University in Counseling. Karen is currently a fully Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and an LPC-Intern, working towards full licensure.
Karen has an extensive background in corporate sales and sales leadership. Karen’s passion to help others that suffer from drug/alcohol addiction drove her to complete a Masters of Counseling, and become a professional in the pursuit of helping others to recover. Karen most recently assisted in the opening of an all-women’s intensive outpatient treatment center in Dallas, Texas, working closely with the client’s and families in order to provide the optimal care for healing.

An alumnus of the program, Justin has over 12 years of experience in the addiction treatment and recovery field. Utilizing his own personal recovery and his experience in both admissions and aftercare, Justin has helped individuals and families find the right resources to support their recovery journey.
Justin has been a member of the Harmony team since August 2014. Currently working toward his CAC I and CAC II certification, he leads a team of 6 dedicated admissions staff and works collaboratively with Harmony staff, families and professional referrals in ushering clients into treatment at Harmony.

Michael’s journey into the addiction treatment and recovery world began with her own drug and alcohol addiction and subsequent treatment in December of 2015. Michael went on to get her CPFS Certification (Colorado Peer and Family Specialist) as well as her Recovery Coach Trainer Certification through CCAR (Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery). Michael serves as Co-President on the National Board for TPAS (Treatment Professionals for Alumni Services) and is also Co-Chair for the Colorado Chapter of TPAS. She hosts a podcast titled “Monday State of Mind” that focuses on how recovery tools can benefit everyone’s state of mind. Lastly, she is a published author of her book she co-authored with two other people in the recovery world titled, “Drowning in Addiction: Sink or Swim.” Michael is passionate about recovery and chooses to recover out loud.
