Children are often the first ones hurt and the last ones helped when substance use is impacting the family.  In this workshop, we will explore how children are impacted, learn tools to help them cope, and important messages for children to hear.  Participants can learn new tools to help families change the family legacy and discover recovery together.

This 60 minute training will explore the psychology & neurobiology of non-suicidal self injury (NSSI) in relation to thoughts, urges, and behaviors. Internal and interactive regulation will be examined in relation to insecure attachment styles and working with symptom reduction. Attendees will learn to implement a technique to ease and release deep shame in relation to NSSI. The TBI and Addiction Conundrum: Clearing the Muddy Water
