Learn how our senses impact self-regulation and how can they can be used as tools to help calm or alert the brain and body. Sensorimotor strategies can be used to organize the brain and there are many ways to use them with your clients/patients beyond just sensory rooms. We will explore the 8 senses, review alerting and calming strategies within each sensory system, and review the differences between a sensory diet and sensory toolkit. This presentation will introduce sensory and sensorimotor as a therapeutic lens for working with your clients.
